Volunteers form the backbone of many of our communities and such experiences can be hugely rewarding. Maybe it is something you are interested in. Being a volunteer does require enthusiasm and perseverance. Many volunteers come from abroad and Have a look at Residential Volunteering Opportunities in one of our community households.

1 Short term Co-worker From 01 Jan 2020

Camphill Community Dingle is looking for a volunteer from January 2020, 18 years and older, with enthusiasm, who has a keen interest of working with adults with special needs and can commit for 12 months. Previous personal or professional experience engaging with individuals with intellectual disability, farming and gardening, crafts, music and homemaking will also be considered an advantage. 


A good command of written and spoken English is a requirement.

We are looking for motivated, energetic and responsible volunteers interested in joining our life sharing community to live and work alongside adults with special needs. You will join a vibrant young team of about 20-25 young adults from many different countries. The role involves living in a household in the community together with adults with special needs, supporting them in their day to day needs and work life. This role would best suit empathetic, caring and responsible people with a strong sense of commitment. Good English is essential and preference is given to those who can commit for the full year. 1 Lifesharing Live-In Volunteer live in Gardener needed From 02 Jan 2020

Camphill Community Kyle is a small residential home for 16 members with support needs. Kyle is a land based community in the sunny south-east close to Kilkenny city. Camphill Kyle has a good sized biodynamic garden and farm. These workshops are liked by a number the individuals we support .It enables people to contribute to the community and learn gardening skills. All our workshops have therapeutic value. Productivity is secondary.  

At Kyle we are looking for a live in volunteer with gardening experience and able to facilitate a garden workshop.

-Applicants need to have experience in biodynamic gardening and feel comfortable supporting  individuals or a group  with gardening tasks and teaching the same  -Applicants should have a min catergory B driving licence  - Good spoken and written English is required for this role  - Applicants need to be enthusiastic about gardening, be able to work in a team and have a professional conduct ( adhere to Policies and Procedures set out by the organisation, take part in trainings and meetings  etc)

1 Lifesharing Live-In Farm help required - live in volunteer position - also includes supporting individuals with care needs From 02 Jan 2020

Camphill Community Kyle is looking for help on the farm. We have 23 livestock and a large estate as well as field vegetables to look after . The Farm is an essential workshop for the people we support. We are looking for someone who has worked on a farm before and has experience. Kyle is home to 16  Community members with support needs , please refer to information about Kyle on the webside . Applicants will be working within a team and support the farmer on the land. Applicants may be asked to also engage in care work. 


Applicants should have worked on a farm before and have a driving license for tractors and cars. Good english skills , written and spoken , are required for this role , Policies and Procedures of the organisation must be adhered to and mandatory trainings and meetings  must be attended  Applicants must be able to work with people and as part of a team  We are looking for live in volunteers.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and mature female co-worker who can stay with us for at least one year. 

You will be supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities as well as supporting others in the organisation. 

Excellent English is essential and good sense of humor and communication skills will be important. It is also important to have willingness to work and cooperate closely with people who have chosen to live and work in Camphill and willingness to learn and accept something different from what you have known. 

This work and life are challenging but rewarding. If you want to develop yourself and experience something totally different from what you have experienced, this is the place for you.

Your work and life involve supporting people with/without intellectual disabilities in house communities and workshops by working together.
